The secret to loving yourself is to ignore everything anyone says negatively to you. Negative people are just that negative. They don't even have a positive thing to say about themselves. They complain all the time about everything in their lives. It's a daily recorder of insults, bitterness and painful stories about their past. They wear pain from the inside out. There is so much suffering going on inside that the pain boils over on the outside and if you are standing next to them, you get to share in the misery and the suffering too. So stop asking them their opinion. Have a conversation to yourself before you decide to share yourself with negative people. You will get your feelings hurt. You will take their actions and words personal and have a shitty day because of it. So don't set yourself up for it. Abort asking or sharing something you think is exciting and amazing to you.

You should only share your happiness with people who are supportive and happy for you. Negative people subconsciously are clueless of the damage they create because they can't see past their own shit. So know that their opinion of you has nothing to do with you but everything to do with their lack and limitation of happiness inside. Now we all have bad days from time to time. We are human and shit happens.

I am not taking about a person having a bad day and they are just need to vent to release their experience and move on. I am talking about folks who are stuck in their own horror movie and can't shake it off. Folks that when they walk in the room they reek negativity. They have a permanent frown on their faces and you know just by looking at them, they have nothing nice to say.

You smile and they hate you for smiling at them and now you instantly have a target on your back. Their goal is to cause pain because misery loves company.  And don’t forget you have something they have a hard time achieving, happiness. Negative people are unhappy because life has kicked them in the gluteus maximus and made them so scared to care again.  And they really believe no one could even love them. Because they never knew real love on a deeper level so now they are commitment to negativity. Damaged goods=Negative people.
